- People say the Leipreachan is only six inches in height. He is dressed in a little green suit covered by a little red cap & wears a pair of black shoes of his own make. He is supposed to be a cobbler.
- The leipreachan is supposed to be the fairy shoe-maker or the fairy tailor. He is dressed in a scarlet cap & a green coat & trousers. He is said to have a purse of gold & a jug of beer with him.
