   The Corran road was repaired in 1932 and the work men built four cement bridges.
   There is a numer of very old roads in the district which are not still used and are covered with bunches of grass. One road is the road leading from the Ardsallagh road to John McDermott's old house. There is another old road, leading from Tom Gallagher's to Joe McDermotts'. This is the oldest road in the district. It is sixty or seventy years old.
   I cannot find any knowledge whatsoever of the people who worked on roads during the famine.
   There are still some mountain passes and by-ways in the school-district. For instance there is one old pass at the back of the school. When we are going to Corran or
