  1. Local Meals
    In olden times people lived mostly on potatoes. They had them at every meal - breakfast, dinner and supper and they drank buttermilk along with them.
    At that time, people used to rise about seven oclock in the morning and would then work until ten before getting food as they often had to go a long distance for the potatoes to the farm.
    In some houses where there would be large families they always had the table on the center of the floor. the bread they used was boxty bread and oaten meal bread
