- Lisfanan is situated in the Parish of Fahan. Barony of Inishowen,There are twelve families resident in Fahan. There are forty seven people. There does not appear to be any name common to this district. The houses are all slated except one, Mrs McVeagh, which is three parts thatched and part slated.None of the inhabitants are over seventy, and none know Irish.In addition to the families mentioned, there are a number of houses at present unoccupied, but are used as summer residences by people from the city of Derry.There are no ruins in the district which would indicate that there were more houses long ago.The land is mainly hilly except a strip which runs along the road.
