    Roinn Roinn Postáil
    My home district is situated in the townland of Tooban, Parish of Fahan, Barony of Inishowen, Co. Donegal. There are thirty nine families in it and about one hundred and seventy people. McLaughlin is the most common name in the townland. Most of the houses are slated and there are about half a dozen thatched.
    There are about a dozen old people over seventy in the townland. They do not know Irish. They cannot tell stories in Irish, but some of them can tell some in English.
    There were not as many houses in the townland long ago as there are now. Some people emigrated from here to America long ago. The land is not hilly or boggy, most of it being good arable land. There are no woods in the townland.
