These people can tell stories in English but they cannot speak the Irish language at all.
People could get to America from this place long ago without any trouble.
There is different kinds of land around this place. There is bog land and heather land and hilly land and level land and some wooded land.
There are no rivers around here and there are only a few Loughs. The Doaghmore Lough, Kindrum Lough and Lough na Peirt.
I never heard any story about these Loughs.
    Maggie Carr
Told by my mother Annie Carr, Glinsk, Carrigart, Co. Donegal. Born and reared in Doaghmore. Age 52 years. Spent her life since her marriage in Glinsk.
Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
