  1. An Gabha agus a gcuid oibre
    There are only six forges in this Parish. Their names are as follows.
    Glinsk Forge owned by the Moores.
    Gortnamonagh Forge owned by Dan Callaghan.
    Kindrum Forge owned by Frank Sheils.
    Croghan Forge owned by the Logues from Glenvar.
    Rosnakill Forge owned by David Thompson.
    The Glinsk forge is owned by the Moores for the last three generations.
    About three years ago the man who carried on most of the work called Willie Moore died. While he was shoeing a horse belonging to Neil Carr Glinsk he got a stroke and had to be carried into the house but he died in nine days.
    His brother Sam is a smith too but he is old now
