    Birds Lore
    In this district birds are often used to find out what kind of weather is coming. When seagulls fly inland at night and when crows do not fly in a straight line but toss up and down with the wind it is a sign that stormy weather is coming. When robins comes around the door looking for food it is a sign that there will be frost. In the Summer when swallows fly low after insects and when the thrush sings low down in the bushes it is a sign of rain.
    It is that when our Savour was on the cross a robin came and tried to pull the nails out of his hands and that a drop of blood fell on his breast, It is said that this is why the robin has a red breast.
