There are about three Holy wells in this district. There is one about two miles from Swords in a place called Feltrim, there is another one at he new road which is about 100 yds from the main Street. There is another one at Rathbeal in a field, this field is called the well meadow.
People do not visit these wells on certain days, because there is no fixed time for visiting them. The well in Feltrim is called Saint Wereburgh's well after a saint called Saint Wereburghs.
The well on the new road is called Saint Colm Cill's well who was patron Saint of this district. These wells have cures for warts, and sore eyes. If people want to be cured of warts, or sore eyes they rub the water on the affected part. When people leave these wells they leave all sorts of relics behind them such as medals, pieces of cloth and buttons.
