  1. Once upon a time there was a woman and she had wan son. His name was Jack. The mother suckled him until he was fourteen years of age, and then she sent him off to seek his fortune.
    Jack set off to seek his fortune. He was a big able man, a giant. He travelled away for several days 'till at last he came to a big Gentleman's house and he got a job there.
    The Gentleman had a nice daughter and he told Jack if he would do all the jobs laid out for him that he would get her.
    "Very well" says Jack.
    The first job he got was to go to a haunted mill in the night and grind a sack of wheat.
    Jack went to the mill. It was just six o'clock when he came there and the miller was just locking up the place and coming away home
