  1. Once upon a time there lived a poor gardener at Castlebar. He worked for a gentleman named Lord Castlebar. He had one son named Jack & Jack used to go to him with his dinner or whatever was going to remain with him for the rest of the day weeding the garden, raking the walks & helping the best way he could but this gentleman Lord Castlebar had a daughter & she used be continually in the garden with Jack & they became so attached to each other that no matter what company would be in the house this little girl would always be in the garden with Jack & the father & mother became
