There was a farmer once and he had two sons and they were very poor and one of them went off and joined the Irish Army and he done seven years before he came back and he had no money when he came back but he had a gun and that was all he had to live with. So when he came back the father sent him away because he was no good to work. He went his way till he came to an old forest. When he came to the forest he went to the side of it and got out upon a plain field and he was thinking to himself "I have no money and I'm no good to work" A gentleman appeared to him and said "What are you"? "A soldier" says he "If you be a soldier" says he "shoot that
