At Martin Duffy's at Ballybrack there is a terrible rath.

At Martin Duffy's at Ballybrack there is a terrible rath. My father & a brother of mine worked in it one time & Mr Duffy the man of the house asked my father to cut down a tree in the rath & my father told him he would not fell it "But" he says "Well if you don't fell it I'll fell it myself". & with that he set to attack the tree & he felled the tree & late that night they were gone to bed & about 12 o'c this boy Thomas let 3 terrible screeches & he called his man Will Neill to get up that something was wrong with their son Thomas & they found him on the floor & since then he is disfigured & one of his legs never grew any bigger.
