There was a woman & she had one son & the son said he'd go seek his fortune because they got poor so he went further than I can know or you can tell til he came to a gentleman's place & they hired him by the year. So he was a good boy used to milk night & morning & go herd the cattle every day - that was his work but this day he seen a hunt with a hare & two hounds so he had a good horse & he followed the hunt till they came to a wall & the hare leaped the wall & the 2 hounds leaped the wall but Jack's horse wasn't able to leap the wall so he drove home the
