  2. My Mother told me me that there was a tinker going around by the name of Pat O'Brien. One day he went into a farmer's house and asked the for a bit of a dinner and he said he would give her him an advice. The woman gave him the dinner and when he had the dinner he said to the woman when ever she was sewing not to forget to put the knot on the end of the thread.
