  1. The local names of the roads are:- The Chapel road, Crossna road, Woodfield road, Mill road and the Wood road. The Chapel road is leading from Crossna cross-roads to Derrenadoey. The Woodfield road from Crossna cross-roads to Aughoo cross-roads. The Mill road from Aughoo cross-roads to Bridge-Cartron cross-roads and the wood road is leading from Bridge-Cartron cross-roads to Keadue. The Woodfield road is very old. It was made years and years before the Famine. There are monuments along the road-side. The rivers were crossed by fords before roads were made. There are old Mass paths and byways in the district. They are in Aughoo, Cryanstown, Connagreea, and Cartron. There are no stories
