  1. John Bradford and Tom Brown heard there was a pot of gold hidden on an island on Lough Key, County Roscommon, placed there by an old man who was often seen walking around on the island. They determined one night to get a boat and search all around the island.
    The two men worked hard digging holes under trees around the island but no treasure could be found. They were very tired after their nights work and they said they would never come again to the island to search for the treasure
