  1. "Old Crafts".
    1 Crossna has got its name from the great amount of weaving which the old people did there long ago.
    2 Tommy Mc Loughlin was called Tommy the Weaver because he did all the spinning and weaving for the people of Bridgecartron.
    3 Hubert East ground corn in the mill beside the house.
    4 Michael Martin formerly a native of Cleragh made all the creels, baskets, wheelbarrows and "loy" shafts for the people for miles around.
    5 Mick Gilmartin was the best fisher around Crossna. It was his living and he spent most of his time 6 fishing. Cogan Martin from Woodfield was a great fowler.
    7 James Carroll from Barcullen was a great poteen maker.
