    That we may know our days are few,
    And that His judgement is terrific
    If to His mandates we are not true.
    V. He makes the tides roll in and out,
    To prove to us the flow,
    Of human life shall never cease,
    Till Adam's last son lying low,
    VI. He makes the lillies bloom and fade,
    To emphatize the way,
    We grow and bloom in health and youth
    To surely die, and then decay.
