- Weather is the natural changing conditions of the atmosphere. There are local beliefs about the weather. When the sky is red in the evening it is a sign that there is going to be heat the next day, and when there is a ring round the moon it is a sign of rain. When the sky is cloudy and the clouds are rolling it is a sign of rain. When there is a rainbow in the sky it reminds us that God is keeping his promise that he will never flood the earth again as he did when "Noah" was alive. When the birds are flying low it is a sign of storm and when the birds are flying high it is a sign of fine weather. When the cat washes her face with her back to the fire it is a sign of rain, and when a dog eats grass it is also a sign of rain. When an old woman's rheumatism pains her it is a sign of damp weather. Ducks quack loudly when it is going to rain and the peackock cries because he does not like to see the rain.
