  1. Over one hundred years ago there was a hedge school in the field now belonging to Mr. Joe Cullen, in the townland of Coradua in the parish of Killinkere.
    This school was called "Coradua School Cabin" ass the branches of the trees in the corner of the field were formed like the roof of a house.
    The man who taught in this school was master McCabe who lived in the townland of Coradua.
    There were Irish, English, Arithmetic, Geography, and Grammer taught, the children had no books except an English
