  1. When the swallows fly high it is the sign of good weather; when they fly low it is the sign of wet weather; when the crows sit on ditches in a cluster the people say that it is another sign of wet weather.
When the seagulls fly inland the people know that there is a storm coming across the sea, ans when they go back to the sea we expect fair weather.
When the cat sits with her back to the fire they say that there will be a storm.
When a dog eats grass it is a sign of wet weather.
When the cattle stand chewing their cud in a corner of a field for a good part of the day, it is a sign of wet weather.
When the people see the worms lying along the roadside they say that there will be wet weather.
