  1. There is an old fort in the townland of Carnaveagh, in the parish of Killinkere Co. Cavan, it belongs to a man named Mr. Mahood.
There are larch trees growing around this fort, in the centre there is a little larch tree about three feet high.
It is supposed that there are valuable jewels buried under this little tree.
It is said that it was placed there by the man who owned the farm formerly about 100 years ago.
People tried to unearth it but it failed them.
There is a light to be seen around this place every night.
There is a path from this fort to a lone bush in the next field, there are steps across a ditch between the lone bush and the fort.
