  1. Some time ago, there dwelt in the town-land of Granaquina in the parish of Killinkere, Co. Cavan, two men named Michael Smyth and Andy Barrens. These two men were neighbours. On this particular night the two of them dreamt the same dream and one was to disclose this fact to the other. The dream was concerning a pot of gold that was hidden in the ground, two yards from the back window of the house of Phil Clarke of the same townland.
    Andy Barrens dream this, and was told in the dream to tell this to Michael Smyth. On the contrary Michael Smyth was told to disclose it to Andy Barrens. But the difficulty was that neither of them were to speak to each other, from the time they would start to explore the gold. At any rate the two men started to dig for the pot at the place pointed out to them in the dream. They dug down till they came to the flag. Dár-fear
