  1. One day while Dean Swift was living at Quilca a great thunder storm came on. Sometime during the storm a man and a woman came to the door of the house and asked for shelter. They were admitted and during their stay they told the Dean that they were to be married on that morning but that they were late know. The dean in order to save them great trouble said he would marry them. They went outside then and the Dean carried out the ceremony and then composed this verse.
Beneath this tree in wintry weather,
I join this man and woman together,
And none but the Who rules the thunder,
Will part this man and woman asunder.
