  1. The Death Coach
The old people that lived in the townland of Lurganboy believed that a Death Coach would go up the road when any member of the Malone family was ill and about to die. No person claims to have seen it but it has often been heard.
On one occasion there was a wake in a neighbour's house and one of the Malones was ill. Those present at the wake heard the clapping of the horses' hooves, the creaking of the harness and the rumbling of the wheels. They rushed to the road but there was nothing to be seen.
