Mrs. Caby, Loonogs, Crosskeys, maakes a different cross in which she used small flat sticks which she covers with straw with intermittent rows of rushes. When finished it is something like this.(here there is a drawing of her cross)These criseags were sprinkled with holy water and hung in a prominent place in the kitchen. Sometimes one was put in each room and each out office. They were supposed to keep St. Bridgid's blessing about the house for a year and to save the people from serious sickness.
I could find no tradition about Bratóg Bríghde in the locality.
