    This example was made of rushes. Mrs. Caby, Loonogs, Crosskeys, maakes a different cross in which she used small flat sticks which she covers with straw with intermittent rows of rushes. When finished it is something like this.

    These criseags were sprinkled with holy water and hung in a prominent place in the kitchen. Sometimes one was put in each room and each out office. They were supposed to keep St. Bridgid's blessing about the house for a year and to save the people from serious sickness.
    I could find no tradition about Bratóg Bríghde in the locality.
