is some of their great Grand Children living still in those places. There are still some remains of old walls of several places in which the people lived in the famine times. Most of the houses that were standing during the famine are now down and in very odd spots traces of them can be seen. There were five houses in Connelly's lane and there was a house in Ryans field. There were also houses on Drimcree hill. The houses in Connelly's lane were Connelly's, Brien's, Jordan's, Murphy's, Johnson's, The houses on Drimcree hill were Doyle's and Byrne's, The house in Ryan's field was belonging to an old maid named Furlong and there are still some remains of the walls.
