    and they were called "Scotch Downs".
    The potatoes were sown in the following way. First the ground was dug with "loys", it was then made into ridges. Two people then came along, one with a pointed stick and the other with a práiskin of potatoes. A hole was made with the stick, and a potatoe was put in the hole. This process was called "gouglin".
