(continued from previous page)For sore eyes bathe them in cold tea every morning and evening.
Laurel lef plaster. The larl leaf boiled in grease and put into a cloth and placed on a burn cures it.
Get a male fern and dry it is good for Anthony's fire.
Juice of a dockleaf for nettle rash
Young cabbage roasted on a fire and mixed with fresh lard is good for healing sores.
Washing soda dissolved in water and rubbed on ringworms cures them.
A small bit of unsalted lard and 1 oz of sulphur mixed together and rubbed on rash cures it.
The beaten white of an egg mixed with about a spoon of honey and thickened with a pinch of flour is good for drawing boils.
Poultice of bran sprinkled with vinegar is good to remove a swelling
Salt and water is a good gargle for sore throat.
Heat wax and rub it to splits in the hands and it will cure them
