    Early one morning long ago there were two men going to a fair. They got up early and they ate their breakfast. When they had it eaten they got the cattle prepared for the fair. As they went out along the lane they heard the gate opening and it was not long when a big carriage passed in and turned in the lawn and came out again. They got very frightened and went in and went to bed and did not go to the fair after all.
