  1. The townland in which I live is called Ballykisteen. It is situated about two and a half miles to the North-west of Tipperary town in the barony of Clanwilliam. The parish in which my home is situated is called Sologhead.
    There are approximately ninety families i the townland some having from one to fourteen members. The family name most common is Ryan.
    Most of the houses are slated or tiled and only a few are thatched. The surrounding land is good as it is situated in the centre of the Golden Vale.
