    One of the best known omens of bad weather is when the clouds form a cap on Keeper Hill, the highest peak in the Silvermine mountains. When the wild geese are seen migrating from the bog of Allen to Lough Gur in County Limerick, their flight is regarded as a sign of bad weather.
