  1. St. James is the patron saint of two-mile-Borris. He died about eighty years ago. He lived in Two mile Borris and was buried in Borris. When he was dying he said that "no one would be killed either by lightning or by thunder, and ever since he died nobody was killed.
    St. James' Day is not observed as a holiday in the parish. There are many people in the district called after Saint James.
