    There was a "Tug of War" held in Templemore between Tom Maher Holycross and Michael Lynch Moycarkey. It was held in a field and Tom Maher was the winner.
    Jack Reilly is one of the strongest men in Tipperary. He lived in Cormackstown Thurles. He could lift a wheel of a cart in one hand
