  1. 1. The name of our townsland is Ballenahow. "The Village of the Stream" was its name long ago. There are about thirty families in the townsland. From Morrissey's hill to the boreen in which we live there were once thirty houses.
    There is a big castle in Ballinahow and Finns are living near it now. Old forts are to be seen in the townsland still. They belong to Morrissey and Finn.
