  1. 7 It is a long time now since the people of our parish, Rossmore played Drombane in a hurling match. One Sunday there used to be a Hurling Match and on the followinf Sunday there used to be a football match. In those days there was no such thing as goal-posts or fifteen men on each side. All they wanted for the game was crooked stick and a tan ball.
    The day of the match the two sides met at a certain field and the Referee then put hald on each side. The used to play the ball from one end of the field to the other and the winners were those that put the ball out in to the next field. Rossmore was the best
