I only know one fort and it is round in shape. There are trees and hollows around it, and it is called a lis. It is situated on Mr. Stapleton's land, in Loughtgalla. There is a big hole going through it. I know a story about it. A man went to the field where the lis was in to plough
When he was up near the lis his horses fell dead. When he recovered from the shock he had got he flew home. He told everybody what had happened and nobody went near the lis again working - Bailitheoir
