Lately these forts have not been interfered with. One time an old man cut a white-thorn stick in Hogan's fort, in Urra. He became lame that day and was a cripple for life. This misfortune was said to be in punishment for his interfering with the "good people". - The forts I know are in fields near my home. There is one in Mr. Waller's field. It is very interesting to me as my neighbours have told me a story about it. The said an old man was passing late at night by this fort. He saw a light. He followed it and it led him into the fort.
