The old man got a great fright when he heard himself being prayed for by the priest.When Mass was over he went to see the priest, and when the priest saw him coming he new that there was some mistake. So he sent his clerk to the old woman's house, to tell her husband to go home as quick as he could if he valued his life. "For God's sake what is all this about Father", said the old man when he met the priest. Then the priest told him all, leaving out about his wifes marriage, and the old man went home with an unsettled mind.
