    frighten him. Then the fairy turned into a calf and one of them sat on his back and went ten miles further and turned into a fairy again.
    He said to him that he was a brave man and asked him to come back again. He went up on his back again and he came back, the fairies said that they would not trouble him anymore while he tended his herds. The farmer was very pleased and they both lived together until they died.
