    Sties
    A cure for sties is to rub the fasting spittle on them for nine consecutive mornings making the sign of the cross with it.
    It is also said that if the patient look through a gold marriage ring that they would be healed from sties.
    Whooping Cough.
    It is said that if a person who has the whooping cough meet a man on a white horse and ask him for a cure for whooping cough, whatever he will say to use or to do, do as he directs you and it will leave you.
