    He built a church in Dublin town and on it put a steeple;
    His father was a Gallaher his Mother was O'Brady,
    His Aunt was Ann O Shaughnessy first cousin to O'Grady
    Success attend St. Patrick for he is the darling Saint Oh!
    He gave the snakes and toads that wished
    His beauty without point O!
    There was not a mile in Erin's Isle where dirty vermin musters
    But there the Saint he put his foot and murdered them in clusters,
    The toads went pop, the frogs went flop, slap dash into the water,
    And the snakes committed suicide to save themselves from Slaughter,
    Success attend St. Patrick for he is the darling Saint O!
    He gave the snakes and toads that wished
    His beauty without paint O!
