  1. A game that is played by children around the fire is called "A cock of hay". One puts his closed fist on his knee and each puts his fist, in turn on the one underneath. When all the fists are up it is like a cock of hay. The person whose hand is underneath asks the one whose hand is on top."
    Q "What's up"? The answer is "A cock of hay".
    The leader says "Take it off and throw it away
    The same question is put to each in turn and the same answer is givin until all the hands are taken off. Then one person asks the leader who keeps his fist down.
    "Q What's in the cupboard"?
    Ans. Bread and cheese.
    Q. Where is my share?
    A. The cat ate it.
    Q. Where is the cat?
    A. Under the sop.
    Q. Where is the sop?
    A. The fire burned it.
    Q. Where is the fire?
    A. The water quenched it.
    Q. Where is the water?
