    very plentiful on the bushes and if "furze" bloom late or are seen in bloom about the end of October that a very severe Winter is coming. When a chimney smokes, that is when instead of going up the chimney, the smoke gushes about the house it is a sign of frost. I was also told that when the cricket sings sharply, there will be a change for bad or good in the weather.
