- There is a ruin of an old castle not far from Bandon. There is a cottage near the ruin and a large family dwells in the cottage. Every night a ghost is seen in the ruin of the castle. When the children of the cottage go to bed every night the ghost is seen in the old ruin. There is a very dark lane leading up to the cottage and the children are afraid to pass the ruin.
