When his companions found him he was unconscious. His leg never healed and, it is said, that he died of its effects in later years.
Very few people will now venture into the Bantry House woods after dark, because they are afraid that something terrible would happen to them if they did so. - About thirty years ago there lived a man in the townland of Glenlough, whose name was Daly. This man had a big farm and in one of the fields there was a fort. It was said that every night about nine o'clock there used be music and singing heard in the fort.(continues on next page)
