The Wren song which is sung in this district is as follows.
    The Wren, The Wren
    The King of all birds
St Stephen's Day she was caught in the furz
Although she was small her family was great
Stand up young lady and give us a treat
Up with the kettle and down with the pan
Give us your answer and let us be on
We ran her up we ran her down
    We chased her into Castletown
We dipped her tail on a barrell of beer
And we wish you all a happy New Year
They divided the money between them equally and they spend it on drink or go to dances.
