    district. There were young children in the house. The name of the house was Duryer's. The children got dry sticks and lit a fire near the house and the flames caught the roof and burned it. A great crowd gathered at the house and tried to quench it but they could not until it had burned a lot of furniture. Two men saved some of it but were burned on the hands.
