Houses were more numerous in days gone by, because the ruins of them are seen in many places throughout the townland.
It is said that many people emigrated to America and were never heard of afterwards.
The townland is not mentioned in any song or saying. The biggest part of the land is good fertile land. There are a few streams in my home district, but there are no stories connected with them. - Travelling people still call to our home and they have been doing so for many a long year. They are not poor people for they have a lot of nice horses; but they sell small articles such as tie-pins, song-books, hair-pins, eggcups etc.(continues on next page)
